Jim,

Go online to see if there are any groups in your area. If you see games listed contact the Athletic Director or Organizer in your area. They should be able to assist. Do you know any athletes in your area? If you are still having trouble I will try to assist you.

Best regards,

Badd Monkey

ironhead, not sure how much help it will be, but head to the M.A.S.A. site and touch base there.

http://www.heavyevents.com/

Bridgeport, WV will be hosting the 2008 World Highland Games Heavy Events Championship May 3rd

http://www.scots-westvirginia.org/heavy.htm

And there is a games in McHenry, MD, June 7th, which is not too far from Bridgeport.  These should be the closest games to you.

Tips goto http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/8682/heavy/basic.htm

I hope these help

You can also go to www.xmarksthescott.com/forum/ ...they have a pretty extensive discussion which includes making your own training equipment and posts of local events.
