Yes, what Mr Natural said and more. I've seen alot of guys struggle with the glide and the South African. What there all missing is good standing tech. - learn the progression of throwing the shot/stone. Starting with the proper grip and placement of the shot/stone and progressing to the various standing drills.................. . |

The sooner you stop shuffling the better. You may be able to throw farther than your standing Braemar with the shuffle,but nothing gets you to the power position faster and with more momentum than the glide or S.African style. Practice and patience will pay off big time. Good luck.
