With only eight days 'til the North American, there might be some interest in the quality of throws one can expect to see at the Claw.  Here's a little heavy reading. Geek

Hey Wally, can you pass along to Bobby, that if he's got a 22 pound hammer head to sell me, I'll take it off his hands and give him a check at Enumclaw.  I e-mailed him at Mjolnir, but no response.   I think he's kind of "out of the business" now, but if that's not the case, I'd sure like a 22 pounder.

Alan, you missed where l noted above that Bobby won't be coming to the Claw.  He has a ruptured disc (or discs) in his back.

Bobby's not "out of business."  He is just having a hellova time finding a foundry that will turn out the quality of implements that meets his approval!

There's nothing there.  After this evening, people who wish to contact me will have to call me at (206) 938-3934.  l'm off to the Claw early tomorrow morning and will be off-line.  l'm sure that some of you older folks can remember being that way.

I've got good news for anyone who didn't stick around to hear, Greg York has been discharged from the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery within the next week at the most. Talk about the power of Prayer!

At the Claw, Greg York of Seattle walked in front of someone doing a practice put with our 17 lb stone and got hit in the head.  Very scary and, of course, bloody.  Everything stopped while he was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.  Luckily, he wasn't seriously injured and, as Josh stated, Greg was released after a few hours.  l think that l'll sleep better tonight knowing that he's okay!

Heal up, Greg!  And no lasting effects please!!

Sheesh...

He must not have kept his head on a swivel, and that's what you have to do when you find yourself in a vicious cockfight.

Glad to hear you're ok though Greg.

Greg's gonna have to start growing hair again, 'cause from the pics on FB, he's going to have the scar to end all scars on his head.

REALLY glad to see updates from him on FB that he's gonna be OK.

Another amazing games by Wally & crew.  Huge thanks go out to the Queen, Carl, and all of the other judges & shaggers that make it happen.  This was my second trip, and is definitely one of my favorite games of the season.
