Hey Karyn,

Duncmeister and I are in the Days Inn Auburn, too.  He wants to know if you have any hot rollers.

Hey Michael sorry no hot rollers.. I have naturally very very curly hair so I am always making it straight.. I do have a flat iron if he wants the straight and sleek look  - Karyn

As everyone can read on the two other Claw threads, the competition turned out just great.  Well, not "just great," really great.  Fantabulous!  Freaking awesome!!  lt was more than l would have expected in my wildest dreams.  So many of the athletes were "on," breaking field records right and left, everybody was friendly and appreciative, and, on Sunday when the schedule got a little backed up, patient!  l was very proud to be the co-AD!!!

l know that you know that just turning the caber isn't what it's all about!  Although, sometimes it does take a caber turn to lock up a win!!

Wally, just wanted to thank you personally and all the judges.. Ken, Bobby, Bob, Kaelyne, Scot on the mic.. and all the volunteers & helpers that make the Claw such a huge success. Was one of the best Claws ever.. even though we got rained on, did not matter.. it helped put out the flamming sheaf.. (hey do I get a mark for tossing that?)  Was great to hang out & throw with all the gals, some great throwing.. field records coming down by miss Kate, she was on fire.. hmmm maybe that is why the sheaf went up in flames . also congrats to Megan, Kristy,  Duncan & Jay on their first Claw win..  & Dan continues to amaze me..the only thing better than his throwing is his personality..although Mike did steel the Caber from him which was so impressive & watching his WOB always makes it look so easy..wish I had one tenth of his skill.... getting to throw & hang out with such great athletes & friends & laughing so much it makes you cry (miss Kelly & Mr. Kitty) Pez rules!!!  Wally.. you outdid yourself this year.. & huge thanks to Alan for the beautiful trophy he did in Honour of Kathy who passed away.  I am so touched that my name will go on that, means so much..  Wally keep up the awesome work.. and KO.. sorry we did not get to the Kettle & Yella Beak with ya.. Stephanie & Bret 1st ever Claw BBQ was over the top awesome!! Kim, thanks for stepping in & throwing, even with super mini kilt, you rocked it.  was so great to throw with the ever impressive miss Lacy & Kelly & finally got to meet Lisa & watch her join the 40+ club in the HWFD.. "superstar" cant believe she travelled & miss Becky too.. wish they would more often... & for all of those who think they are tough.. men or women.. miss Regina who gave birth 5 wks ago & still out their tossing cabers like nobody's business..Angela miss PR queen.. I am out of maple suckers now.. Tammy & Alex my fellow Canucks .. who threw awesome & get better ever time I see them throw.. stop it now you are making me look bad  & Kat I want the power of your pirate socks... Wally & gang many many thanks .. & gals remember "we are a family..I got all my sista's with me"... sorry had to finish with a song.. my love & respect to all - Karyn

That was the key, the volunteers!  lt just wouldn't have happened without them!
Jerry Barbour - Scot Fitch - Katrinia McNeal - Carl Mowell - Bret Lathrop - Mark Olson -
Angie & Jay O'Neill - Angela Ostle - Ken Shaw - Joshua Siau - Al Stagner - & Jeffrey Thornton -
with a special shout-out to Cristy Demplewolf who did far more than her share!!
You wouldn't be calling the Claw a success without these great people!

l think that qualified as "inappropriate conduct"!!!  (The sheaf, not the rain.)
