Since all you babies want to whine about CC on the other thread, I thought I would start a new one.

Things are great. Spirits are high, friendships are rekindled, and people are ready to throw far!

Ryan looks and feels good. Brock and Sean look destined to have an epic battle. Gregor is out due to a bulging disc. Also out is Bruce Robb who had to fly home for a family emergency(kids).

So quit whining about CC and realize there are things more important things than him.

Say a prayer for good weather, long throws, and no injuries!

Thanks for the update.  With those two out, the complextion of the games is a lot different.  Now throwing 50' even in the stone should bump a guy up to 9th place instead of 11th.

Have a great weekend guys!  Can't wait to hear all about it!

Why are there sheaf standards up at this circus?

At the risk of sounding like a woman...

Ryan's goatee is pretty awesome.

In defense of the people putting up the standards, the
old ones were damaged, new poles were ordered on Monday,
and picked up Wednesday. And since they don't come
rigged for the sheaf, I'm sure some work had to be done.

No, there won't be a sheaf toss in the world
championships. The open amateur and masters' classes
will be tossing the sheaf.

I'll try to get some updates as well. I happen to be really good friends with the scorekeeper :)

I'll be in and out today but I'll give her a call after my 20 mile run and see what she can give me.

I just talked to Greg and the weather is a tad shaky. It is raining now with a risk of thunder showers this afternoon. The first throw goes at 08:30am local time. Good luck to all.

PS Nova Scotia weather today :sunny 18 celcius

I thought this was a two day event, but with an 8:30 start time and two stones today maybe I'm wrong.

Is this a one day event or two day?

One day. If anyone can do all that in one day it's Jim Pauli and his size 12s.
