In defense of the people putting up the standards, the
old ones were damaged, new poles were ordered on Monday, and picked up Wednesday. And since they don't come rigged for the sheaf, I'm sure some work had to be done. No, there won't be a sheaf toss in the world championships. The open amateur and masters' classes will be tossing the sheaf. |

Ryan is in great position! With Gregor and Bruce out, 15' WOB could take 5th place without any misses. Plus, you gotta know Ryan will be top three in the hammers and caber. Jason |

I think I might have mentioned in the local press that Mrs Rider had a unique excuse for an Inverness Heavy Champion not defending their title the following year since the Games were first held in the 1820's!

Hey folks, just getting in and about to get ready to eat. There are a few mistakes with some of the distances...it will probably get cleaned up in the next few hours. Congrats to Sean, he was on fire all day. It was an epic battle between he and Larry all day. Definately some huge throws for this time of the year. |
