Thank you John. My first attempt was 46'8 (?) and I managed to foul my next two. JT granted me two extra throws...these came in handy.

The film shows an ULTRA SLOW rotation, but I did turn my right foot. Crushed the delivery...and that's a ballgame!

Now to figure out how to do that with a 16 pound stone...

What was the #, hoss? Congrats, I'm sure it was huge as I have seen some of your training numbers.

Also, games report? Or not so much??

Trap Bar 700 for 6. High post w/straps.

Games report...aka...Enter the Suck

OStone - 17 pound rock about 2 inches deep and shaped like a plate, It is, by far, the WORST looking stone I've ever thrown...and yet it went the fartherest (not a word, deal with it) Turns out, I wasn't even throwing it by the handle...I had it backwards. First throw was 46 and change and I managed to foul my next two. Fouled my first extra, nailed the next one, and the rest is history.

HWFD - This marked the beginning of the end. I fouled my first attempt, 38'11 on my next one at a slug's pace, and then fouled one that MUST HAVE BEEN 3 feet deeper or more. DAMN. Did I mention I tore the remaining skin off my thumb? I've ripped callouses and things before, but never like this. I had some smaller tears from earlier in the week, and they all decided to go, so I have a bloody mess from where my thumb connects to my wittle paw to about halfway up the pad. FML.

LWFD - Nothing going here. I absolutely mailed this event in...hit 65 and change, more bleeding, and passed.

Heavy Hammer - SUKK. Wasn't getting long on it and finished with 89ish, which is par for Games but I've been throwing so much better in practice. Celtober will be different. Taping the bloody skin back to my thumb seemed like a good idea at the time; spraying the tack on there was definitely an error in judgment.

Caber - This was a monster. I'm not sure what the database has it listed as, but I think I recall 22 feet (ish?) and 130+? Cody 12's it in dominant fashion.

Sheaf - 30. I wanted to spin, but didn't have the room. Took a few shots at 32 and HAD THE HEIGHT but couldn't drop it over. Ah well. There's more there, so no worries.

WOB - It's raining. Like, for real for real. Good implement, but difficult to get a solid pull. Made 14 no problem, hung it on 15 two out of three times.

First overall. Improved my HWFD mark, my sheaf, and open stone. Truly disappointed in my LWFD and HHammer, but I did what I could with what I had. Tried gloves, no gloves, tape, no tape...I was too focused on my thumb that was looking more and more like Darkman's face after every attempt to really get in a groove. The film says my sprint is no longer linear, so I've got that going for me.

Celtober is coming up, and that's home base, so look for something fun to happen there.

Now, usually I don't do this, but uh...

PARENTS: Please address the following issues:

1. These kids don't know the difference between first and third base; stop yelling at them, get off your GD smartphone, and go help them. Yelling just confuses them.

2. Under Armour isn't necessary for little kids. They aren't going to overheat I promise.

3. Don't set up your practice where all the impact craters are...that's where my hammers come down go boom. Boom is preferable to squish. <- This is the sound of a hammer impacting your head while you take selfies with the other Team moms.

4. Please don't make ugly faces, shake your head, and point. I was here first. Please see the above if you have any questions.

AND FINALLY:

TAKE YOUR CHILD TO THE BATHROOM IF THEY HAVE TO GO. LITTLE KIDS HAVE ACCIDENTS...I GET IT...

BUT TAKING THEM BETWEEN TWO CARS TO SH*T (on the ground) WHILE YOU ARE ON THE PHONE...

Come on now...

I'd like to thank the members of Europe for "The Final Countdown."

Lifetime squat PR of 550 for 4.

Doubled the Rehbands, drank a gallon of Myles' sweat, and ante'd up.

Carry on.

Early Morning...brought to you by HAN, Sweet-Tarts, and pineapple.

Bench - Worked up to 385 for 3; started with the bar and added 20 lbs or so per set. Cashed out early, but everything 315 and under felt nice and poppy. Hunting for 51' at Celtober!

Jumprope...a bunch of these to celebrate Baab's unretirement (LOL Mike...we knew better!)

Hanging abs/grip stuff/Saxon bends...you know...for my sorry a$$ hammers.

TRex reptars (thanks Crowley) for conditioning:

Thanks Nathan! I don't think I could've gotten around on it any slower.

Speed and consistency, that's what we need.

For now, foam rolling and a tough decision..."The Phantom" or "Krush Groove."

Thank you TSA for requiring a pat down of my person...clearly my long hair and "metal concealed under it" warrants an immediate shutdown of the security line and a hand on arm escort.

Sean...exactly.

Throws today were mostly terrible. It was raining, again, as it has been for most of the week. OStone low and slow, at least 45'. Light hammer...meh...guessing 105'?

I got about 10 throws with each before it was too wretched.

Deadlift o'clock.

It's not sweat, it is sweet tea that is the cure that we all are looking for.  Like is not a strong enough  word for what has gone on here.  We went into the valley and now have come back out looking up to a new peak.  Love seeing someone crush an injury this way with work and determination.  As Captain Jack Sparrow says, it is not the problem that is the problem, it is your reaction to the problem that is the problem.  Problem solved.

Conventional deads (yesterday) managed 645 for three. These were very hard. I am SO paying for it now.

This morning my neighbor came over for his morning dose of suffering. Best conversation ever...

"Justin, ever heard of a tabata?"

"I just did...I think. Your look tells me I'm going to hecking hate this."

"Yes..."

We did two rower t's. Equally stupid.

Strict press tonight.

Thanks for the encouragement Robzilla; I don't think I'll be doing that anytime soon. These pulls, even WITH a teeny tiny bounce, were slow as fakk. The last one was a testament to the power of a doubled-up PWO in half the water. Instructions...pffffffffft.

Jeff, pulls CLEARLY haven't helped me very much. I am so slow. Even my sprints feel slow. Don't get me wrong, I love deads. I'm short with long arms, so it makes sense. I stick to what I'm good at, like buffets.

Put this on your iPod, and deadlift a house.
