Kate damn near threw the thing into the hammer cage. Seriously.

If you've ever been at Pleasanton, you know how far it is from the womens trig to the hammer cage.  HUGE throw for Kate!!!!

It was an incredible throw. And just for a point of reference, there
are over 650 amateur men listed in the database with a light
hammer mark this year, more than two thirds of them didn't have a
single throw with the 16# hammer as far as Kate tossed that 14#
weight. Give that a think. Way to go Kate!
Cheers,

Carlos

Big congrats to Kate on her WR and entire weekend at Pleasanton.
Fabulous debut at Pleasanton and it is always a pleasure to scrap
with another fierce competitor! Super cool Mindy was in attendance to
congratulate Kate after she broke her record. The women's class is
fired up with the level of awesomeness we bring to the field :-)

Keep it up.
Adversity cause some men to break; others to break records.
