Been off the anti-inflams since Friday and there is a noticeable difference in the amount of stiffness in my knee. Not so much pain really. Sunday it was a little sore, but walking/sitting/standing/living are pain free.

Decided to take a week and back off everything a bit.

Warm Up

Bench Squat (19") with band around knees

135x8, 135x8, 225x8, 275x8, 275x8, 275x8 weight was easy, keeping my knees out, not so much lol

TKEs on 8" of plates against medium green band / TRX Hamstring Curls

3x20 (right leg) 3x12(left, good leg) got a nice pump / 3x15 did these both legs at a time

DB Swings / AB Wheel

3x20 @ 80# / 3x10

And that's it. We'll see how the knee feels later

Good to see you still getting after it. A knee injury is a good excuse to do nothing but bench and bicep curls. Just sayin'.

Thanks dude, Trust me I have been putting in the time. I may look like Luke soon (which come to think of it, may not be ideal....)

All I know is as long as my knee isnt locking and doesnt severely hurt, I'm going to push through and get that leg as strong as possible. Fingers crossed!

Was super warm today (47) so I got out and tested the knee on some throws. Strapped it up with a slingshot compression cuff and a knee brace. Worked like a charm!

OStone 16#
Fronts x3
Stands x6 no pain! No measurement either because I was throwing into a huge snowbank

HWFD
1-turns x3
2-turns x2 again, felt completely normal. I am mucho glad

LH just winds since I was in a parking lot. Did about 50 total winds in sets of 3, 5, and 8

And that was it. Didn't wanna do too much too soon. Will be working in 1 day of throws/puds every week as my 4th day of training to get more reps in without overloading myself.

We'll see how it goes. I am encouraged but gotta play it smart.

I always preferred light backward sled dragging to TKEs. 90-135 pounds on the sled. It's just a more natural motion for the knee. Definitely helped me work through some issues back in the day.
Cheers,

That is something I am definitely going to do once the weather breaks more. We still have snow/ice everywhere on my road.

Thanks for the suggestion though! I will take any and all ideas

Went to throw! My field last year at this time had 2'+ of ice and snow on it and this year it's 85% clear. It was also 50 degrees today. I'll take it!

16# Ostone
Fronts x4 best of 37'
Stands x8 best of 40'
Glides x4 Best of 43' laughable numbers but no knee pain at all, and nothing felt good. So, could have worse!

LWFD
1-turns x4 didnt measure
Fulls x5 best of 72' again, slow and choppy but no pain

Heavy Hammer x5 best of 100' little bit of pain in certain winds/some deliveries but overall not bad at all

Light Hammer x4 best of 123' same as above.

I am slow, my rotational flexibility is lacking, but I can throw. Huzzah!

After throws yesterday my mid back was soooo tight and I rolled and stretched and it finally calmed down but this morning they were rough. Outer glute area was tight too but not back pain like I used to get which is good. Just feels like I could use an adjustment. Scheduling one later today. But training must carry on!

Warm Up

Box Squat to 19" Box + 80# chains

135x5, 135x5, 225x5, 225x5, 265x5, 295x5, 325x4 boooo. My power just felt off. While Im disappointed, I'll come back next week and smoke that number. 245x3, 245x3, 245x3 for "speed"

Regular Squat to a chain /Ab Wheel

245x5, 295x5, 325x5 without chains/box it's easy! lame / 3x10

RDLs / DB Bulgarian Split Squat / TKEs on a plate

3x8 @ 275, 295, 315 / 3x10each @ 45s / 3x20 each + 15# DBs

Legs are so smoked/pumped. Definitely cant be throwing for 1.5 hours and then train the next day. That was silly!

Overall I felt disconnected today. I think I really need an adjustment, not in pain per say, just run down. And not sick run down haha, but like my power was flickering. Hopefully a chiro appointment on wednesday will fix things and then a deload next week
