Why not do a ton of dips, weighted dips, and CG bench...
all of this will translate better than pin presses.

I just started doing dips again last week. I stopped for a very long time because my strength to weight ratio was pathetic. I already do CG bench quite a bit, but I'm sure there is room for more. My triceps are lacking in the size dept, so I need to hammer both hypertrophy and strength reps. Time to do work.

This. I feel I get the most mileage out of weighted dips.

if the shoe fits.. hrmm..

what I meant was, in relation to the rest of my arms. I'm not speaking aesthetically. Just need to play catch up in the strength department really (aka, weighted dips)..

it seems the trend of my off season is strengthening triceps and glutes. fun.

this is supposed to be PR thread, I did 135lb reverse lunges yesterday. That's a PR because I've never done revese lunges before.

that was pimp. I did 315x1 on tuesday: http://youtu.be/KOCTK_piGd8

any tips on overhead tricep strength? it's 100000% my limiting factor and you can even see it on my lockout. My legs were still pretty dead from monday's sesh, but regardless I had great speed up until the finish. I went for 335 and got the weight about 3" above my head and triceps couldn't take over. This leads me to believe my tris are lacking, in a big way. I already knew they were my limiting factor in benching. I'm thinking about adding in some overhead pin presses as well as overhead skulls, db extensions, etc to really smoke the long head.

thoughts?

I don't know that your triceps are your limiting factor.  At least not with the 335. I think you need to squat down faster.  Think about reacting more.  You may not go as deep, but I think it will result in more push.  I'm by no means a presser like the Vincent bros., C Smith, or McKim,  I just know what works for me.  Hope it helps.

Also forgot to mention the bench PR video was made for John
Gallagher. It features spandex, crotch shot, and fat
belly. I went for the hat trick. Count it.

I was planning on writing "Hi John" in chalk on my spandexed ass, but I can't reach and couldn't find anyone at the gym willing to help me
out. Go figure.

Hood up squatting is different...I HATE how the hood feels smashed under the bar.

I didn't do this because I've had an idea brewing for something similar, but wanted to wait until the software was upgraded.  I will work on it here soon, maybe today.
