Just to let those of you who keep training logs know, I found an incredibly useful application for my ipod touch.

It's called Fit Phone, and it is essentially a way for one to keep a training log without having to take a pen and little notebook.  It shows a calendar by month, and what you can do is select a day, title your workout, then assign excersises you will be doing in that workout.  If your excersise is not already within the database of excersises, its simple to add it in.  Then within each excersise, you record the # of sets and reps, along with the weights and any little notes you may have about doing it.  It also records cardio excersises.

Once you have created a workout, it gives an option for you to copy and paste the workouts to different dates, so when you go to the gym that in the future, the info is already all there, and you just need to recod your numbers.

The feature i thought might be most appealing for you log keepers, though, besides having it all in one little handy device, is the ability of this application to export all the data, which is formatted to open easily in a spreadsheet. (i have not tried this feature yet.)

And another cool feature of this app is that it can calculate your single rep max based on the numbers you've been putting up. Internet connection is only required for personalized charts.

Just an FYI for those weightlifters here with ipod touches or iphones.

Drink to the fame of it, honor the name of it, The Tartan.
