crap week of lifting felt weak all week and nothing special happened. New PR in squats and front Squats from today. IDK if its stress or not eating enough. Hope it changes back soon.

Another week in the books and my weights are all still going up. Liking what Im seeing.
New deadlift PR of 500lbs was 465. Trying to get up to 600lbs. New squat PR of 405 was 365ish. Trying to get to 500lbs. Bench same as always 365. Wanting 405 to 425. I think this will be the hardest for me. Never worked my legs before so I expect increases chest has always been pretty solid but doesnt go up quickly for me. |

havent updated in a while. Still lifting a lot and heavy. Weights are going up like I want wish it was faster though. I think I have a form issue with deadlifts....trying to fix it. Thats all nothing special. Hoping to sell my house soon so I can buy a new place and all the equipment. so I can start throwing again.

Leg day! Starting to like these days more and more each time. I use to avoid them at all cost! Before this off season I might have done legs twice in the last years. Now its twice a week one speed day and one heavy day. Today I was able to get a new squat Life time PR of 425 it went up pretty easy got greedy and went for 455 felt light off the rack and got stuck on the way up. I think I should be able to get it soon. But all and all happy with a 20 pound pr.

Threw at the first annual Mo-Throw for charity event in wet and cold Tacoma, washington. First time throwing in mid 40's and rain for me. Open stone: 47'4"(2nd) not a bad throw still felt like I had more. HWFD: 30'6.5"(2nd) I was happy to take anything over 30 that day. LWFD: 59'10.5"(3rd) CRAP HH: 73'6"(3rd) Pretty solid for me. Want to add 10 feet by next season LH: 94'3"(3rd) PR Was pleasantly surprised that hammer went well. Next season need 10 more feet. Caber..... Stick was too small for A class.... (2nd) WOB: 13' (3rd) tied pr so pretty happy. And for fun we did a keg toss: 44'1" Overall I placed 3rd had a fun time with some great people in some less then ideal conditions. All in all pretty good day. |

Ive been sidelined from much training at all due to a right foot issue. Couldn't put excess weight on it for the last 3 weeks. Doc is clearing me to start training again tomorrow.

Glad to be back in the gym. Been out for almost a month. Started a new program. First one I've actually followed sense high school. Doing a 5-3-1.
Today was chest so bench, incline dumbbell bench, flys and tricep push downs. Felt good/strong but the muscular endurance felt a little pitiful. Should come back quick. |

Yesterday was Deadlift 3x5, bent over rows 3x10 and lat pull downs 3x10. Everything felt slow, hard and sucked ass. Thats what i get for not being able to lift for a while.

oops didnt put in tuesdays or Wednesdays workouts oh well they strict OHP with a few other shoulder workouts on tuesday and Hack squats, leg press, leg curls and leg extensions on wednesday.
Yesterday was my 3x3 week and went pretty well. Program is still telling me to lift a little lighter then i normally would. felt good for the whole workout. Bench: 3x265 3x280 3+x 295 ended up doing 9 reps for the last set. then Incline dumbbell press, Pec flys and tricept pushdowns for 3x10

today was shoulders still a little light for me but its what the program is telling me to do.
Military press 3x165 3x170 8x170 Dumbbell lateral raises, Dumbbell curls and upright rows. |

another couple days down.
Saturday: 5,3,1+ week Bench 245x5 280x3 315x6<----- felt pretty good I think i could have got 7 but no spotter. Incline DB bench, tricep pushdowns, over head tri extentions Sunday: 5,3,1+ Deadlift: 325x5 370x3 410x6<---- also felt good. Glad the first cycle is almost done weights feel too light.... But fallowing what Im suppose to Bent over rows, lat pull downs |

tuesday was shoulders: Seated military press up to 205 for 5, lateral raises, dumbbell curls, hammer curls.
Wednesday was legs: hack squats with 10 plates for 3, leg press, leg extensions, leg curls. Thursday I started working on spinning for stones. Ive never really tried this before. I coach throwing at a high school and there is a 16lb shot i can use before practice. Taped a few of them as I went, I found a lot of different things I need to fix. Was taking it nice and slow to get the feel of what i was doing. Most were in the 45 to 46 foot range. I feel like I can get a long ways with this just need to practice. Tomorrow I get to use my new Hammer blades and see how that goes. Looking forward to actually throwing and getting back in the swing of things. |

first practice of the year was yesterday...... all i have to say is its been too long. The 56 threw me around and owned me for the day. Going to get some equipment for myself so i can practice when I want to. Hammer was the highlight but still wasnt good. Starting using blades for the first time and the throw feels completely different, not bad just different.

3 games into my season and so far doing pretty ok. placed 2nd, 1st and 4th(threw like crap)
so far Best marks so far this year:
Braemar: 38'2" was a PR but still looking for 40' Open stone: 49'7" PR. Content 5 inches off my season goal HWFD: 31' something. having a hard time staying in on my good throws LWFD: 68'8" PR goal was to get 70' this year im getting close HH: 79' PR. I HATE HAMMERS!!! want to get to 85'+ LH: 94'10" PR still hate hammers goal is 105'+ Sheaf: 22' 20lb Throwing way higher i just have to learn to throw through the uprights instead of hitting them. Wob: 13' tied PR Consistent here needs work Caber: turned 2 of 3 so far and tried a challenge caber at Newport was fun but not even close. Been working my ass off trying to get my hammers better but to no avail. Feels fast but watching my video Im still slow as crap. 4 or 5 more practices before my next games in a week and a half we shall see if it gets any better. Athena, Portland and Enumclaw in July. 2 of my biggest games of the year need to get my ish together. |

Had my first practice of the year on 05/08
Braemar- consistent around 37/38 LWFD- Had a lifetime best at 72'6" LH- Not good lost some from last year was 95-100 HH- SUCKED slow and doesnt have any explosion 75ish feet A few more practices before my first games in Bellingham hopefully will help those get back closer to where they need to be. |

First games of the season for me is over. Didn't do as well as i was expecting or hoping. Decent sized A class about 12 of us. Overall took 1st place.
Braemar: 1st 36' and change. Elbow has been hurting this didnt help it. Open: 1st 46'5" good stone not my day for pushing. HWFD: 2nd 31'4" bad toss all over the place. LWFD: 1st 63'5" fouled all but one out the back. the nonfoul was the shortest Light hammer: 2nd 102'9" content with this throw. all 3 were over 101. I think thats a first. WOB: 4th 13' average for me need to get more powerful. caber: 3rd 11:50. It was either you flipped it or you tied for last. 3 of us turned it. Sheaf: 1st 24'. Was sooooo close to 26 which would have been a PR but nope just blasted the crossbar. |
