Hey- Just a short story about Masters Champion Mark MacDonald of Dumfries, Scotland. We spent some time talking last Friday before the MWC4 in Winston, Oregon. And I continue to have difficulty understanding Mark when he talks with a strong bur. Anyway ... It all started when, ... I told him that I heard he recently got married. MARK: "Aye, got married last May. Auh married a cannonball." ME: "What?" in surprise. MARK: "I married a cannonball!" more slowly. ME: "Huh?" while squinting to read his lips. MARK: "I married a canibal!" he said louder. ME: "Huh? with a stupid grin. MARK: "I married a Cambell!" he said with a laugh. Then he went on to say some more stuff that I could only guess about. ME: "Ooo, ... I thought you said you married a cannonball!" laughing. He laughed and we shared another sip of the wine. -Celtabilly ------------- Winners are remarkably adept at figuring out what's required to win. |
