OK, I'll bite:  Don Stewart hereby predicted getting 50' with the 42# weight this year, on or after 7/16/09, the day he turns 50.  The problem is that we all know he can do this (look at his numbers for last year).

He's also not one to show everything he's got:  how many people have seen Don throw some WR or other, shrug his shoulders, "Eh," and sit down?  This drives everybody crazy, because we all want to see what he can really do.  But noooooo, he's done.

I suspect 50' is a comfortable fallback position, and that he's got another number in mind.  I have an opinion of what that number might be, and I'm writing it down on a slip of paper here (and I'll keep that private).  Reaching this number would be something to see.  If he's motivated to reach this number, he'll feel some pressure.  Don excels when he's under pressure.

Hey thanks Wayne but I was talking about the light stone-oooops. Made 49'11 last year ( x-tra throws ). Trying to get myself motivated -been working on the full rotation just can't release anything. Very frustrating time of the year.

I'm looking for 53'-54' this year with the JV heavy weight. My various squatting numbers are up, my weight body weight is down to 260 and my knees and back are feeling healthy.

A nice fall day up at Loon again could fun.

jerk..........I KNEW what you meant. OLDFARTS have to stay light and fast and athletic (Leffler,Spaulding- like 8 World's Champs) to avoid injury and stay in the . ..................Last year at Loon , I ACTUALLY  saw Don the Stewart do at least 3 fist punches in the air celebrations(once even w. a little hoppy dance in ostone) . I wonder if it made the video?

Ah:  my mistake.  I think you're good for 50' with the OS on a good day, but 53-54' is not what I wrote down for the HWFD.

Hopefully, we'll give you a nice level trig at Loon this year.

Post 7-16-09 a lot of world records are crushed.  I would expect one or two over 50 records at loon to go this year.

Mike if your a skinny guy like me you have to gain weight to stay healthy.  And nobody danced more than you at Loon.
