Omg! That is the funniest article ever! Yeah steroids don't help at all...who says? 2 guys who were on a ton of drugs! I also love matson talking about how fat shotputters today are. The only problem is they throw farther then u did. I remember hearing a former shot putter saying when he went on roids the 20/21 lines looked as close as the 18/19 metre lines were. Also well known coach reckons the maximum you can throw clean is 66/67 feet. |

Capes said in his book that you can either not take steroids and be a national standard thrower or take them and be an international standard thrower, basically admitting it. I'm also pretty sure testing wasn't started or wide spread until the early to mid 80's? If todays guys could be on all year they would benefit greatly, i'm sure from that, i reckon if there was no testing at all then they would be going 23+ regularly |

Hey Brucie some great Throws at Aboyne ,pitty about the rain im sure the records would have gone if it was dry.
Capes said in his book that you can either not take steroids and be a national standard thrower or take them and be an international standard thrower, basically admitting it. I'm also pretty sure testing wasn't started or wide spread until the early to mid 80's?
