I'm just starting out, and would like some info on training for an HG event. Aside from throwing (I'm hoping to catch up with some guys this spring to learn), I'd like to hear some ideas on other training. I've seen talk of different types of lifting, plyos, etc.

I currently do power clean/push press, squats, dips, shrugs, farmer's walk, rows/chins, curls, grip/ab/neck work, and some "object" lifting (rocks/logs). My set/rep/% scheme isn't solid- I have to formal training. I try things that I read up on. Back and shoulder injuries limit me with some things- snatches, squat cleans. Everything else is pretty much fair game. Also, should I taper or increase anything particular as the winter drives on?

I'm always up for new stuff. Thanks in advance for the help.

Lenny
