C'mon Kevin - I was hoping 2005 was having the mandatory Irish bloodline World Heavy Events Championships in Chicago - proof of lineage required.

Seems like there will always be a number of titles at the various games as they are run by individual clubs and organizations.... keeping this in mind, when an athlete competes at a games and indicates the only interest is to have a score for "another games", it doesn't bode well with many of the organizers and officials.  As a reminder to everyone, be considerate of ALL the games - in their own minds, each one is a form of a championship.... or to put it more boldly, if you're showing up for a reason other than putting on a show, you might get told to stay home - regardless of your ranking on any system.

Having said that - Kevin, you can call the Chicago games anything you'd like... what can I do to come and play?

Dave

Just FYI - I think the overall ranking is great - especially to see at a glance where folks are throughout the year... course I'm still bummed to have started last year at #25 and fight my way up to 12th or so.  AAAGGGHHH.

I just love the fact that, for this week at least, I am ranked above Ryan and Mike Smith even though the only thing I can beat them at is eating the big-ass burrito at Hermana's in Stevinson.

Yeah, but yesterday wasn't your third day in a row of eating a Big-Ass Burrito.  Still, you must have eaten that pretty quickly.  It must have been a feeding frenzy.

Isn't it a coincidence that they have upgraded their decor since the recent pilgrimage of Highland Gamers?  I hope Ryan is a getting a cut of their profits!

TMI, TMI!!!!

Shane, I am glad you made it home safely. You were at serious risk of suffering from food coma on the way home! It was great to meet you.

I am still not hungry.

Query: If one eats a 5# burrito just before competing, will the added mass help you throw farther?
