Terri James started 2018 with a bang setting 6 55+Womens Masters age records at the Charlton Mass Casting Day highland games..br..open..heavy wfd..lwfd..light hammer...21 wob...all weights verified. #s and distances on FB will post them in a bit...for some reason firing on all cylynders today...huge shoutout to Robert Sims for hosting the games and B.J.Ketchman for the weight room tips to get ready for 2018

Terri says thanks Mike and Don...funny thing is I think that she wouldn't be prepared or do as well as she did....her new games prep will be named Jethro Farm boy strong workout...threw a pratice on St Paddy's day...since then life got in the way...on way to Myrtle Beach Highland Games got news my mom had passed,and our youngest was in an accident in Chicago...so games gamesmanship canceled and next 4 weekends were spent traveling to Chicago..she had limited training(weightroom) for the month but was working at other son's house in Ct...tons of landscaping-cutting trees,clearing an acre of property,lots of rocks to be moved...so guess this approach works. LOL...just got a couple videos from people at the games..first WOB attempt at 16-6 cleared bar(had the height) by 1 1/2 feet...next 2 slammed the bar on way up...16-6 or higher will fall in 2 weeks in Maryland

Don..she looked like a female version of 17/20 dialing it in...right under bar...powerfull pull..implement over and lands right behind you effecient pull....ok here is something that she did different...in the last 3 years would go in at 11 or 12 sidesaddle to get a mark(has even done 13&14 sidesaddle)before switching to regular at 14+...well today she opened at 13 regular style...smoked it on try #1 by a few feet for the win...1 other athlete left in flight -mens amtr Ronnie R,she let's him call next height he calls 14-6.Terri hits bar on first shot gets it on#2(Ronnie close but couldn't get the roll)..Terri goes to 15-6..smokes it on attempt#1 for new 55+wr...still in comp calls 16-0..misses attempt #1..smokes it by 2 feet on #2...call for 16-6....1st attempt is over bar by 1 foot and half but not over the bar..both #2&3 smash the bar on the way up...while she could have taken extras as she hadn't fouled out on the way up..called it as hammer was left...she will crush 17-0+this season in her favorite event!
