Hey all, I've recently decided that I would like to participate in this sport. I have zero experience throwing and have only recently gotten back into lifting after a 5 year hiatus. I'm fairly out of shape, despite recently dropping 50 lbs, and I think that having something to train for is going to make it easier for me to get in shape. Are there any throwers near or in Otsego county that would not mind if I learned from them? I'm planning on throwing at the Capital District Scottish Games up in Altamount, and I hope to make some connections there.
