286 is beefy man.. what were you in Vegas last year? 260ish?
 
315x10 for 9 sets is big time, doubful I could do that, props.
 
impressed with the stone, 15#s or not, solid throws. Really looking forward to Vegas this weekend. Your marks on Nasga are very impressive, specially hammers..

I assume that you mean starting from a hang position, then  pulling to the collarbone/catch it for the "cleans" and then overhead for the "snatches".  Yes?  No?

I've been reading for a while and you do a lot of body weight stuff...push ups and pull ups and stuff.  Why so much of that and not as much stuff with weights?    Me = curious.  You're a big throwers, so I'm interested.

BAsketball, huh?  you and Mike Baab and Gene Flynn.  Maybe there's something to this.

I SUCK at basketball, BTW.   I've been tempted to try rugby.  The Alumni club practices line drills/passing drills  on the same field we practice on, 2x a week. I could get out there once a week.  I think it will kill me the first month, I haven't run that much in years, but it would probably do me a world of good.

Time...just need the time.

About 6 weeks ago I saw a video of some of the local throwers at one of the Games in Scotland.  It was kind of their Games promotional video, but the athlete threw Braemar without reversing.  In fact, he stuck it super-hard -- *serious* hip-pop and his back foot didn't even come off the ground.
So, next workout, I  tried it.  You know, it works pretty well for me.   So most practices nowadays, I do a few B stone tosses with a reverse, and a few without and truth is that when I'm not tired, I bet I get a few more inches out of the non-reverse throws.

Just a comment, since you mentioned some non-reverse B stone throws.

My farthest Braemars are with no reverse.  Watch Adrianne Blewitts videos of shot.  She never reverses either.
