Dude.  I started doing the bodybuilding stuff because I sit on my butt at my job and they have a gym here.  Big arms = everything else looks to be more proportionate.  SOOO much better than jogging.

Now I just need to figure out how to get my calves bigger.  Standing next to Sean works, but just isn't at all convenient.

I wish I could say something to refute that but honestly guys with prosthetics have more meat on their calves.

Awesome workout.

Olympic squats - Briefs an Belt

70k x 3
90k x 3
110k x 3
130k x 3
140k x 3
150k x 3
160k x 3

Easy %-based stuff.  Working off a 500lb OL back squat, which is conservative.

Actually had Margaret limp downstairs just to see if I was going as low as I felt.  She confirmed it.

Can't believe my knees feel that good, knockonwood.

Problem with the briefs in the WOB is they need to be loose enough to let you get proper position, which removes any of the potential benefit.

I like the Core Shorts better, in every event; support without total constriction. I believe Under Armour scooped the patent for them and are making them now.

My personal feeling is that if you've worn Crocs once, you can never say anything to anyone about what they wear. that said I live life believing that sleeves are optional, so take it FWIW.

70 x 10
80 x 10
90 x 10

20 x 10
25 x 10

Yup.  You have to get the UA Pro version though, the regular UA core shorts aren't what we're looking for.

Here's a good way to smoke the legs and butt:

Olympic Back Squats - Briefs and Belt

70k x 3
90k x 3
110k x 3
130k x 3
150k x 3
170k x 3
190k x 3 x 2
160k x 3

I was supposed to do 180k, but wanted a bit more.  Loving these.  I wonder if years of hip dominant squats makes my legs not have to work so hard.  Dunno.

Hang Snatch Pulls

60k x 10
70k x 10
80k x 10
90k x 10
100k x 10 x 3

If that doesn't get your legs going, I don't know what will.  8's next week.

Do you find that krill oil > fish oil?

-------------

Fish oil, even the enteric-coated stuff, make me nauseous.  Not because of the fish burps.  I'd take them, then walk around feeling queasy.  Krill oil doesn't do that and it makes me feel gooder.

Flax oil is fine on my tummy too, but it's garbage, comparatively.

Date Posted: 10/19/11 at 2:28am
Interesting.  You have a tender belly.

I'm thinking of making the switch, but I honestly can't find anything definitive that says krill > fish on a mg per mg basis.

What brand of krill do you take?

Joshy...the light volumy overheads...purely for ROM and keeping the shoulders mobile?

Yeah.  I feel better when I do them.  I have a whole program that I used to do for that.

I think that embarrassingly light pressing sets you up for good stuff down the road.
