Great article written by our resident sage Dave Barron in Milo this month about Mike Z. Well deserved attention for Mike and honestly Dave did a magnificent job.

Great article also by Thom Van Vleck about the standing wob.  Milo is packed with great info about Highland Games this month.

Parada! Zolk! Unfortunately It seems my spouse has allowed my Milo subscription to expire (which I believe is a cause for divorce in some states).  Hopefully I will get it soon.

I have been eyeballing milo for a while but never ordered, tell me is the training and sport info worth the price they want for it?

I don't know if you'll get an unbiased opinion here:  half of us have written articles or been featured in Milo (some both).

Then it is a good magazine if the people that write for it and are featured in it are also active in the sport community then that speaks alot to about the magazines quality.

Uhhh, I'll just say I agree with the Jayster.....
It is pricey, but if you took one of the Muscle rags and
cut out all the adds and the articles that are trying to
sell you things in the adds AND then the articles that
have
nothing to do with the type of training that WE
do....you'll find that MILO is worth it. No adds in the
body of the book, just pure reading. Some of it's solid,
some of it's out there, but all of it is relevant to what
we do. Thom PS, Like Wayne said....I have written for
them and I have been in it.....that always helps!

PPS, thanks for the comment, Bill! Means a lot coming
from you.

It would be intersesting to know if Milo's subscriptions increase from this thread.

I used to read Ironman when Perry Rader still ran it and Muscular Development when John Grimek was the editor. Always loved Perry's picture in that add for the circle squat thing, any one ever use that? Todays stuff aint worth a flip. Am ordering Milo right now since I am a fan of so many contributors and did not even know it. Congrats Mike!

Done, ordered Milo. I am also a fan of there Just Protien. Other protiens leave a nasty after taste but the Just protien goes down well.

I look at this way.   It seems "pricey",  but do and experiment.  For one year buy a years worth of say 5 muscle magazines.  Rip out all of the articles that you find useful, put them in a notebook.  At the end of the year look at that notebook, add up the cost of all the money spent to get it, then Milo don't seem like such a bad deal.

Milo is the type of thing you will read over and over.  The current rags on the stand you read for 15 minutes and are done with them.  Love Bill pulling out the Perry and Mabel Rader mags.  Those were also some that you could just pour over and keep reading back and picking things up.  Congradulations Mike and Dave on the article.
