Do you have a track and field background?  If so, you might want to look at your training regimine.  I throw better at the end of the games season, which is bad, because the big invites are towards the middle of the season.  In track, the better you throw towards the end of the season, the better off you are, because of conference championships, regional meets, etc...
eh...

dont throw like its a games in the off season, you can throw year round but you cant go 100% year round, thats why your probably burning out! nov. thru jan. throw at 60/70%. jan.to feb./mar.75/85% april season slowly starts, then gauge your practice throwing on when your first games will be. once the season starts and your throwing in games then practice is just that PRACTICE! work on everything but mostly drills some throwing, range throwing if anything! breaking PR'S and WORLD RECORDS in practice do not count. so when training remember that. drills, drills, drills

Its simple, you do more work in the summer  so by the time the game rolls around you are wore out on sat.  You want to be better then take and extra day off in the week to rest and your throws will go up.  I know thats hard to do for some (even Me) but thats sounds to me like your problem. Get you a cushy office job and your throws will go up in the summer

KO, I gots a cushy office job sitting at a freaking computer all damned day long, and it kills my back.  I am well-rested, though.

I practiced a lot the last month-six weeks of the season and I was hurtin' after the Seaside Games on Oct 13th. Now it's three weeks later, I haven't lifted a finger in the weight room or  picked up a single implement and the back is much, much happier. I swore I'd take a month off, so I'm gonna tuff it out and stay lazy until the end of next week. Then I gotta ramp up a bit for a Stones workshop on the 29th.
