Newbie in Dallas (Richardson)

   I've become interested in participating in Highland Games through reading all of the material on Dan John's website.

I've never thrown before, but I do a little Olympic lifting in my garage.  While I'm out of shape and not as strong as I probably need to be (only a 165 lb snatch and 300 lb front squat), I'd like to start training and trying to compete in Highland Games.

If anyone can help put me in touch with others in the Dallas area who I could hopefully learn from/train with, I'd appreciate it.
