Tacky in Weights for Distance?

What is everyone's veiw about tacky in the weights for distance? 

If you use it, where on your hand do you put it (palm?, fingers?, just thumb for the hook?). 

Right now I'm using some on my palm (this is a hold over from my start in the games) and my thumb.  I think I am in the minority and I think that my use of tacky affects other throwers because of residual tacky on the handle.

I hate tacky on the WFD. usually have to grab a handful of dirt to smooth it
out, otherwise I feel the weight "binds" and just doesnt feel right in my hand.

I don't use a glove, so that might be part of it also.

No tacky!! I like to let go when I need too!!!

I use a glove and you can tell it slows things down if you have someone using tacky before you!!

Sometimes I put a small dab on the back of my thumb, like if the weight is a D handle.  Most times, no tack.  Although, I often lick the tape on my fingers.
