Hey all you big standers (i.e C. Smith, D. McKim, Meat, etal):

Do you guys use a hook grip or just grip it and rip it in the WOB?

During the season I tried to get used to hooking, but it just didn't feel right.

Hook grip, either tacky or chalk depending on weather conditions.

I never hooked in the WOB, but I always knew I was in the minority.

D-handles suck, in both WFD and WOB.

Those are what should be banned.

Exactly, maybe a little tape ripped in half and wrapped around the fingers and an ever so slight spray of tack.

I won't accuse him of talking dirty, but Roy is right on for my personal prescription.  I use the tape ripped in half and tape it around the base of each finger except the thumb.  I don't ever wipe off all my tacky from WFD and hammers, so that gives me a little stick at the end of the day.

I've tried the hook.  No go.  I like the weight out long on my hands and ready for pulling power.
