Hey Baab....your greatness was discussed on TV! Although the guy did call you a linebacker (the horror of it all!!)

Plus the guy called me a "star".

Baab....almost got you man. My winning throw in the Dunedin Stone yesterday was 15' 1"!!!!!

On my last attempt I went 15' 5", but stepped over the trig. You reign supreme for another year.

I found a stone in 1995 in the Colorado River in Eastern Utah right after my first games ever in Highlands Ranch.  Competed in the C's, got 2nd and I was hooked.  So the wife and I completed the vacation and I found a nice granite river rock that weighed out at 23.8lbs.  I took it to a stone cutter locally and he cut off the odd end to make it a shade over 22lbs.  I've used it in the games I've put on ever since, about 20 in all.  I'm going to sandblast "JWC" on the end this summer.

Another stone that Kevin McAllister had at his games in KC that may be of special interest was the "Spellman Stone".  He named it after a midwestern athlete named Steve Spellman was killed in a car wreck.  It was a 100lb challenge stone that Steve had thrown a few months before he died and had commented on how much he liked it (he won the event as I recall).  So Kevin renamed it and his games shirts the next year said on the back "I threw the Spellman Stone".  Kevin is  "retiring" after this year from the games and I'm not sure what will happen with this stone.  If he'll give it to me, I'll keep the tradition alive.
