I have what I think is a good problem.

Yesterday, while throwing HWD, I felt like I was really generating a lot of force entering my sprint phase. However, all that force caused me to lose the weight early, throwing it off to the right with a very low ark. I hook grip, and I wondered if there were any other tips anyone could give other than do more farmers walks and heavy deadlifts.

Thanks,
Jeremy.

Yeah, I was experimenting with the right amount yesterday. It's a balancing act, especially since i'm not getting that good drive on all my throws.

Sometimes a cause of that is pulling on the weight before it hits the low point and not working it with its orbit.

^^

Losing the weight is much more a result of your timing being off, as opposed to grip strength.  There isn't much grip strength needed at all to throw big weights.

Thanks. I'll work on timing. That's probably the issue, as I'm trying to apply force sooner, but that may be a bad idea.
