My name is Jonathan
I went to Alma for the games this year for the first time since I was a little kid. I was so inspired by the athletes (as well as the celebration of Scottish Heritage) that I have started to train and hope to learn to throw and compete. I am starting as a very out of shape 37 year old, so doing basic strength training and cardio for now, but I would like to find some local throwers to start to learn the basics. I know there are members around Alma, anyone around Traverse? |

There are a few of us scattered all over the state. I'm 39 and competing in my first games this weekend in Kalamazoo.
I believe Muskegon is still open on September 13th You can contact Jerry Bowersox if you want to compete. https://www.facebook.com/jerry.bowersox Everyone has told me to not wait to get going,
