Which side (left or right) and which side do you carry caber on?

I believe it is a nerve issue - perhaps as the nerve that supplies that finger passes through the wrist (carpel tunnel?). Maybe as you picked or pulled the caber you caused an issue in your wrist? Is there any pain in the wrist? All of these are simply guesses, and I have had my share of nerve issues in my neck and back. Best bet - see your doctor. Please keep us posted.
All the best...
Could you make that throw when it matters...as it matters in battle? Could you crush a man with that throw?

The nerve impingement or entrapment may be further up the line toward your neck. Carrying the caber on the right side usually means your head is tilted toward the right and your right shoulder is hunched or rounded forward a bit. This position squeezes the disks in your cervical spine toward the left, which may be pressing on the nerve (per Wikipedia, the C7 nerve) up there, the one that serves your left hand. Or (or maybe also), the muscles surrounding that nerve's distribution anywhere from the neck down through the elbow/forearm (the ulnar and/or median nerve) can squeeze on the nerve. May not be in the carpal tunnel, but higher up the line.

I agree that if it doesn't hurt and still moves, I wouldn't worry. But part one is not correct: the numbness still could stem from neck issues.

I do this for a living and if it was from neck issues it would be more then just 1/2 of his finger...stay in your lane

From my experience, numb=good, in fact in some of the classes you will see the guys administering barley pops in effort to move toward numb in the body as a whole.  Get back to us when it hurts and it is substantial.  Until then, play through.
