Hey guys, newbie here, looking to get started with some implements but so far unable to find any training groups near me here in Sweden so looking to go it alone.  I found this online as a multi-purpose type dealie and the video sold me.  Is anyone here using this or have used this in the past and is willing to recommend it?  I have found so far two stones, that was no biggie but this would solve my WFD dillemma, thoughts?

The Ballistica is great. Easy to change to WOB or WFD. I use mine all the time.

I highly recommend it.

It works well for WFD and WOB, but the hammer function doesn't work so well.

It's awesome.  I use the 1" diameter weight plates on pvc (grey) electric conduit for my hammer work.

Ballistica is the best training tool ever short of buying all individual weights. Very durable and easy to change weights. Its nice if you want to throw Under weight to get more reps, or over weight to strengthen the muscles. I love mine! I have beat the crap out of it!

I've thought about doing the same for hammer. What are you using to keep the plates in place?

Duct tape

I duct tape the hell out of the plates once they are on the handle so they are all lined up.  In about four years I have not had to rebuild that stack, just add a couple winds of tape every once in a while.

I have very few social interaction skills, so I just throw stuff instead.

dl_buffy beat me to it.  And to clarify I don't throw my "hammer" right now.  I'm so far behind I get more than enough out of doing light winds each way than I do out of throwing it.

If I continue to compete in the Games I'll invest in a hammer head next  year.  Other than a caber it's all I'm lacking as far as equipment goes.

This is why I dig this site.  Had no idea that there was a product such as this.  Ordered!
