we never even had "finals" for PE, but our weightlifting class had a written final the first year we were in it. afterwards it was just a "show up, get dressed and you pass" type class.. the only 2 classes I didn't sleep through in high school..

Jake: I am the type that would rather give a physical final and grade on effort... These are middle schoolers... But our HNIC requires a written final in all classes... Ghey.

Mike: Yep, took a whole bunch of percocet though!!!

Not a whole helluva lot has changes, just doesn't happen as often any more... But the lady friend can just about out drink me, so its nice when we go out!!!
I don't think there will ever be another WWF vid Cry... it was one of those things that was one shot only... I am very sad about it... I think I missed my calling.

Monday
- SQUATS
 - warmed up for about 15 min. Not going to list what I did... it was boaring
 - 3x3@275
 - 3x3@365 - Tried to move fast, but it felt like total shit. Not sure what my deal was... couldn't get low to save my life. Only the last rep, on each set, was deep... Guess I needed more warmup

- Bench
 - 3x10@225
 - 3x5@275
 - 2x3@315 - Again, tried to move fast, but felt real slow... Dammit!!!

Wednesday
- Liv and I went out and tossed a little!!!
- (Liv) - Braemar - 25 throws... All throws were around 28-32. Not bad for just arming it out there!
- (Liv) - HWFD - 15 throws... 37 was the best of the day... she's got a HUGE one in there!
- (ME) - HWFD - 20 Throws... Best HW day I've ever had... all 1 turns at 40 and every full was over   44ft, with a best of 46! Felt amazing!
- (Liv) - LWFD - 20 Throws... Worked her way up to 70+. Figured out a couple things at the finish that will really pay off soon
- (ME) - LWFD - 10 Throws... Best day of LW as well. All throws were over 83, with a best of 86ft! I think I figured a few things out finally... Hopefully I can get a legal mark this weekend!

curious, how much does squat/deadlift soreness/stiffness affect your weights? I ask because I deadlift yesterday morning. Worked up to a "not too easy but not too hard 595" for a single. Probably couldve tripled it but I'm lazy. I went out and threw LWFD at lunch (2ish) and had a VERY tough time separating fast enough to get any kind of drive to zero for the finish. This ever happen to you? I felt good, had lots of energy, just couldn't get my hips moving faster than the weight. Thoughts?

Me too.  Today will only be second time I have tried to throw on a lift day.  Last week was terrible, form was shite.

I feel like butt, throwing, any time I have a heavy single - triple day with lower body. If I throw the same day (rare) my lower body is just too fatigued to catch up. Even though it might feel good, I just can't make the legs move fast enough. If you're going to lift and throw on the same day, like we did in college, throw first. It's always a good idea to work techniques when you are fresh enough to really hit good positions and timing. My thought is when you're are fatigued and can't get the timing right, you're hurting yourself more than helping.
That's my thought on it. That's how it works for me, but I'm fat and weak.... Aaaaaand lazy!!!

Joplin Highland Games

BS- 40 and change... felt like turds
OS- 52-53 can't remember, but I am pretty upset... its been feeling so damn good lately, but just won't fly on gameday
HW- 45+ this is a season best... landed on a ridge, so I think on a flat field, it could have been a PR... Real happy with it though
LW- 84+ felt okay... thought this was going to fly forever... didn't happen, but not bad
HH- 99... not good
LH- 115... GROSS... I hate myself for this
SHEAF- 36... first throw at this hit the top wire at 40ft... I thought for sure I was going to smash a WW, but didn't happen. Man it felt good though. Figured out one major thing that helps with the trajectory, so I am real happy with it!
WOB- NO HEIGHT!!! FML
CABER- 12... like a boss... was a pretty damn good stick too 18'x120#

Monday
Squat
- 6x2 Light weight, moving real damn fast... super fast... sex fast!!!

Bench
- 5x3 Light and fast
- 215x20 finished as fast as I could... well under 30sec.

good easy workout today, after a rough road trip this weekend

big thanks to all the folks in Joplin... great time, with better people!!!
Also a big thanks to Jonny Irvin and family. They put up with Liv and I for a whole weekend and there were no fatalities!!!
