Some good footage from Loc Norman a few weeks ago. Good hammers, weights and sheaf. No caber shown.

Enjoy.

You know, that's the first time I ever saw Dave Barron look mortal/fallible - hammer fall back over trig. It usually looks so easy for him that you want to kill him.............or go home and kill yourself.............uh, The Brock is looking goood .

One of the first things I noticed in watching these videos is the speed and tempo of the throws. (Larry is so balanced, long and quick it’s scary). It’s a visual reminder for me of the importance of velocity.

Bert-Nice work with your hammers. That’s quite a jump from last year.

Thanks. Yes, Larry was definately the class of the field. He looked "on". Actually, watching his throws on video has helped me to learn the hammer and wts better, hence my practice pr since the games.

Thanks Baab, I have been working pretty hard. This WAS the first video that I have ever seen that I looked near the size of the other competitiors. Kind of a weird feeling. I thought I was going to have to go back to badminton.

Nice job filming Bert.

It looks like Brock breaks his back when he leans back throwing the hammer. How does he do that????????

Listen! And understand. It is out there! It can't be bargained with, can't be reasoned with! It doesn't feel pity or remorse or fear, and it absolutely will not stop.

Terminator or Brockinator...throwing that far is all he does.

It is pretty sick to watch him throw; thanks for posting the video...lots of good training there!

See the difference in leg drive Eric F gets in sheaf footage 3:47 to 4:10

the last one he gets a couple inches under him and loads up, notice the angle of the fork parallel to the standards in the last throw vs the first couple. He has loaded up with max stretch, then drives his left arm down to start the throw... the first couple he doesn't quite get it all...but the last one it's lights out.....thanks Eric for doing and Bert for vid.

Great footage Bert.....watching and learning from the pro's is such a great way to improve.....thank you.

my 78cents ...

Holey....cow!  Is that what those events are supposed to look like?

Thanks for posting what will alternately be inspiration and complete frustration for someone in his second year.
