So I bravely signed up for the Highland Games in Ct the end of the month. Are there any trainers in the New England area? I am willing to travel. I will also go in cold but would much prefer a few basics prior to getting there. Ever since I saw my first games I wanted to try. Last year was a bust. Yes I am female and yes I'm old. I'm also a farmer which says what I need to say. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to HG, Ev! I'm not in your area, but Denise Houseman would be a person in New England to touch base with. "Old" is no barrier (and subject to individual definition). Reach out to her on Facebook or the NASGA page on FB.
You might also touch base with some local track/field throwing coaches.
I'm in Nebraska, but maybe I'll see you at some games in the future. And if you find yourself coming this way, I'm always open for a visit (weather determines if suitable for practice <g>)> |
