10 years ago today, I said my last goodbye to my Dad.

I miss him everyday, and even more now with the wedding coming up.

I do my best to celebrate his life and his memory with every chance I get.

In 20 days I will be pushing my body to run a full marathon as part of Team in Training for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

I'm running because I have 2 uncles currently fighting, and because I know that the best way I can celebrate my dad's life is by showing him, just how strong he made me.

It is my hope that my fundraising can help another little girl have her dad walk her down the aisle, and not have to say goodbye before he gets the chance to.

It's a challenge that I never expected to take on, especially as a strength athlete.

Yesterday I completed my longest training run... 20 miles... and today.. I can still walk.  So 26.2 is going to happen. It may not be pretty, and it certainly won't be fast, but I will get it done.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far. YOu make more of a difference than you know.

I just wanted to share a little about why I do the crazy things that I do.. and how much it means to me when my fellow strength athletes help inspire me.

I feel honored when you share your stories with me.

If anyone is still interested in donating My fundraising will count through this Friday (I believe)... and I'm currently $500 away from my goal.

Wish me luck to finish this.. as injury free as possible.. So I can see you on the field this year.

Thank you!

-Kate

Keep those feet moving Kate!  With motivation like that, you will finish just fine.

you are an amazing athlete. 20 miles and walking the next day is mind boggling.
