How sharp is your fork?

   Ok, so i've never tossed the sheaf since we didn't have it at the one games I actually entered so far.  After watching sheaf at Salado, I went out and bought a fork.  I cut off 2 tines, bringing it down to 3, smoothed the burrs, etc.

How pointy do I want these things to be?  Right now they're fairly blunt.

	Depends on how tight the sheaf is. Mine are pretty sharp with a long gradual taper.

	Maintain the kung-fu grip Snake-Eyes! We use the Texas Stick of Despair in North Texas; the tines are VERY smooth. I believe Mark Cannon used a grinder and then fine-grain sand paper to smooth his out...keep some in your bag for pre-contest sheaf fork lovin and during the game...never know when some chucklehead will borrow your fork and stick it in the ground! The best forks I have seen have a smooth taper and are VERY sharp.

	It doesn't matter how sharp the points are, as a matter of fact I'd rather have mine just sharp enough to stick the bag. What's most important is that the tines are sanded smooth as glass and taper ever so slightly for good release. I took mine and started with a rough grit sandpaper and then went lighter and lighter on the grit until I got mine shiny, smooth, and probably 25% thinner than originally. That's my "point"
