Nebraska is a big state... Central part, you might want to contact the the McPearson KS games and if your in the western part you might want to check with Rocky Mountain Scottish Athletes RMSA or people up in Rapid City area Black Hills Scottish Athletes IF your in the Eastern part, the following info maybe of some help. Throwers in Western half of Iowa - One Masters thrower in Ames, two throwers (A and B) in Des Moines, and one B thrower in Sioux Center, Iowa (NW corner of Iowa and closest to Nebraska). The thrower in Sioux Center has driven down to train some with Sean Betz - Last year was his first year and his numbers demonstrate that he has a great coach. Ryan Seckman has already posted that Sean Betz is in Nebraska; besides what I listed, the next closet maybe the KC area and northwestern Mizzo. Des Moines Highland Games is suppose to take place this year on May 10. I am providing some of the equipment but Brad Boeckmann is the AD (thrower from Des Moines) for that event. I am waiting on more info. If you have not found someone to train with by then, come on over for that event and meet some of the widely dispersed throwers in that part of the Midwest.
