The newly formed Buffalo Heavies Kilted Throwers Club is happy to
announce its second games. Our idea is to have the games for the
athletes, so all games will have food and drink afterwards. 25 year old
Scotch and Guinness washed down the burgers and dogs yesterday. A
great games and food afterwards, what more is there?

It is not part of a festival, but will be a full 9 events on a huge field. The
hammers will be flying.

It is short notice though. It will be this Saturday, Oct 8 at 10 am in
Lackawanna, NY

It is called the Zombie Bash for a reason. We initially wanted to have this
close to Halloween, but had to move it up due to prior commitments. We
ask that throwers wear some sort of makeup or mask to look like a
Halloween costume. Some of don't need much make-up to look like
monsters (I call Frankenstein or Hermann Munster).

Please contact me if you are interested or have questions.

Damn, wish I could go. Being a Bills fan it would be
perfect to throw on Sat, then go to the Ralph on Sunday and
watch the Bills beat down the 'dream team'.

I'm looking forward to the second Buffalo heavies event as the first was a gathering of great guys and one hell of a time in the cold and mud. With warm weather this will be a stoner of a time. The Buffalo Heavies was formed as a self funding traditional scottish athletics club. We will be self promoting some awsome events on next years calendar.

One to look for will be a throwers club challenge. This event pits club against club in a handicap match. Bring your best throwers in your club from any age class to challenge the Buffalo heavies. We use the decathlon scoring method based on the current world records from the MWC data base for each class which to allows an even up match between young and old using this handicaping method. Look for the Lake Erie cup this summer and bring it on.

Ian,

The Buffalo Heavies will never charge a fee and there will always be room for you. The event will be in lackawanna behind the plaza on the corner of Abbott rd. and Dorance Ave. There is a large field and play ground. Look for the Telecom Tower.

You're in. No fee. I PMed you my cell #. Directions depend on which way you
come to Buffalo. If you take the 390 to the Thruway, it's really easy. Take exit
55 (Rt 219 south), get off the Ridge Rd West exit then right at 2nd light
(Abbott Rd) then right at first light (into a plaza). Drive straight back behind
the plaza and look for the big boys in kilts. If you come any other way, call
me 716-672-6112.
