If anyone could give some feedback it would be great. I am hitting a wall and not sure how to fix my mistakes. From what I can see there are several things going wonky...
1. I am not keeping tension on the implement coming out of the cast. I see that I am casting, turning, waiting for it to catch up and then going into the sprint. I think I am losing a bunch here? Not sure what to do? 2. I am closed going into the sprint. 3. I release the implement with my right foot off the ground. Which means I am losing power upon release. all tips, drills , and suggestions are more than welcomed! Thanks! http://www.youtube.com/user/ketchthrower?feature=chclk |

Try throwing like this, stick the right foot as long as possible. |

I can't watch the vid at work, but a couple comments 1. Vierra's figure 8 drill helped me with this. Another issue is you could be trying to rush it which is kinking the chain. Let gravity do it's job and just hold on to it. Sink your hips back and to the right as it's coming around in front of you, just guide it, don't pull it. |

It looks like at the end you are trying to throw your shoulder and not focusing on keeping your right leg active.
When things start to go wrong for me I can always point back to one thing and that is staying low across the middle. When I do this it seems to fix nearly all of my ills. Maybe you're not staying as low as you usually do? This may be minor, but your right foot turns almost parallel to the trig when you start. Maybe you always do this but I like to plant my right heel and feel the tension in my hips as I twist back to start my throw. |

I'm struck by how you're not completing your first turn,
because your left foot is landing too close to the right side line. Your left foot is closing off your motion and it's utterly killing your sprint. It's like you're there and waiting to go, and can't get anything behind the sprint because your left leg is in the way. Try to actively get separation between your lower body and upper body in the first turn, by pulling your hips further around, which will leave your hips open to drive to the trig. Your second turn looks much better, but is hampered by a poor starting position. |

Thanks a bunch for the great feedback guys. I think you all have great points and I am going to begin the journey of fixing everything. I think the best place to start will be going into the first turn. Since it's setting up the rest of the throw. Lotsa throws and drills to come! Hopefully these corrections will get me back over 60:)
Thanks again!!! |
