Have been pushing all the events and made great progress.
The exception being the stone.Have received a little coaching and been told that I have almost no upper body/lower body separation.
ANY ideas on drills I can use to learn and reinforce this skill.
My off season is here and I have big goals for next year.

the best thing That I can suggest is to practice landing your approach (spin or glide) with seperation and without a stone in your hand. When you hit your power position, your toes should be pointing roughly paralell with the trig, but your shoulders should be close to square with the back of the box. You should feel tension on your right hip (if you are righty). Your left bicep should be just about pressing against your left pec and you should momentarily make eyecontact with something behind the trig - the opposite direction of the throwing area. If you cannot land an open stone approach with your hips ahead of your upper body without a stone in your hand, you'll never get it with the implement.

The first real step though is to understand what seperation feels like with the standing throw.

Great picture of a standing (Braemar) throw with seperation here:

keep looking at vids of stone and shot putters, try
youtube, and i mean look every time you go to throw, just
watch them for 20min and you will get it by repetition
The unexamined life is not worth living.

1. Work on staying upright and keeping upper body erect (don't "dive" with your head or shoulder or lead with your chest)

2. Slow it down. Keep it smooth and easy out of the back, drive your left leg to the toeboard, feel the stretch, then pop it!

Spin: Find a focal point in the horizon past the trig(top of a tree, clouds, etc). Try to hold the focal point as long as possible. That will allow your hips to get ahead of your head/shoulders

Glide: Throw a towel or something behind the throwing box. When gliding across the ring, reach for the towel with your off hand. This will allow the lower body to do its thing while the shoulders are still square to the trig

Like Will was saying, these positions are almost and/or roughly. if you can hit these positions perfectly, you are way more flexible then I am.
